ENGINEERING HANDOFF • BUYER / MANUFACTURER PREPARATION

Engineering Handoff

A consolidated checklist showing what exists now, what remains development work, and what a manufacturer or strategic buyer would need to take the concept toward a physical product.

Current maturity: the project has a documented architecture, interactive simulation, control logic, prototype specification, BOM, test protocol, IP boundary work, buyer dossier and validation framework. The physical prototype and measured performance dataset remain future development work.

Package status

✓ System architecture

Sensor, state, planner, handling, verification, rollback and organization layers documented.

✓ Control package

State machine, action primitives, verification gates, safety interfaces and logging schema documented.

✓ Prototype definition

Chamber, handling modules, sensing, controller and staged build pathway specified.

✓ Validation framework

Physical trial matrix, metrics and evidence-record structure prepared.

✓ IP investigation

Prior-art landscape, boundary matrix and claim-evidence matrix prepared.

✓ Buyer package

Technical dossier and manufacturer pathway prepared.

○ Physical prototype

Must be built and measured before physical performance claims can be made.

○ Legal IP review

Professional patent search, claim analysis and freedom-to-operate review remain required.

Manufacturer handoff sequence

  1. Review the system architecture and IP boundary.
  2. Review the prototype build specification and BOM.
  3. Build one compliant handling module.
  4. Validate acquisition, sliding and controlled slack creation.
  5. Add a second module and validate transfer.
  6. Integrate perception and line-state reconstruction.
  7. Test verification failure and rollback behavior.
  8. Expand to the full chamber and representative materials.
  9. Collect repeatable physical measurements.
  10. Review safety, applicable machinery/robotics standards and production requirements with qualified engineers.

Definition of a credible pilot

A credible pilot should report repeatable results by material class and scenario, including successful recovery, cycle time, failed-action recovery, operator intervention, false verification and organized-output quality. Simulation should remain clearly separated from physical evidence.

Commercial handoff boundary

The intended transaction model is transfer of the developed concept, technical package, software/control architecture and associated development materials to a strategic buyer for further engineering, manufacturing and commercialization. No ongoing service model is assumed by this dossier.
